Żuk Invaders Summary
It’s time for a small project summary…
Żuk Invaders is a project that’s goal was to transform a FSO Żuk (car) into an augmented reality computer game.
After purchasing the car we put a hole through the roof (that alone took us 6 hours), and installed a “cannon”. The “cannon” is a camera mounted at the top, mechanically connected to the wooden bar inside of the car. Using the bar, a player is able to control the movement of the camera.
The camera is connected to the computer, on which there is a game running (created using Processing ). The game takes the camera video and displays pictures of monsters on it. The screen is then shown to the player via VR glasses… and the player shoots the monsters!
